Draft, October 2026. We collect as little personal data as we can.

Browsing

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. We count page views, saves and clicks to auctioneers in aggregate, per lot and per day, with no identifiers. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies or fingerprinting. To improve the site we count how pages are used (for example which buttons are clicked, which filters are chosen and how far pages are scrolled). These counts carry no cookies, IP address, account or device ID, and the words you type in searches are never recorded. Saved lots and saved searches stay in your browser's storage on your device.

Forms

If you use our takedown or claim-profile form, we keep your email and message to deal with your request, and delete them 24 months after it's closed. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Accounts

If you log in, our sign-in provider Clerk handles your sign-in details: your Google or Facebook login, or your phone number for a text code. We store only your Clerk ID and the lots and searches you save, so they appear on every device. You can delete your saved data from the Saved page at any time. Lawful basis: contract.

Email updates

We only email you if you tick the consent box and confirm by email. We keep a record of your consent. Emails are sent by our provider Brevo, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Lawful basis: consent.

If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own terms apply. We pass your enquiry to the auctioneer only if you agree.

Google

We use Google services on Lotwick. Street View images on lot pages, search results and maps load directly from Google, so when you view them Google receives your IP address and browser details and may use cookies, under Google's privacy policy. If you choose "Continue with Google" to log in, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us through Clerk.

Photos

Auctioneers' photos are shown with their permission and credited on the photo. Street View images © Google, shown live and never stored. Where we use openly licensed photos, the photographer and licence are shown with the photo.

"Around here" photos come from Geograph Britain and Ireland, © their named contributors, licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0. They show the area, not necessarily the property.
